November 23, 201213 yr Hi. I'm on Samui and nobody on the local forums knows where to get things chromed/re-chromed. There is obviously nothing local - the nearest no doubt being buried somewhere in Surat Thani. Anyone know of a shop in BKK where this can be done? Any email or phone numbers? I can get my Thai friend to call and sort out details and mailing costs both ways. Ta in anticipation, R
November 24, 201213 yr I am in CM and they can chrome here but not properly, they send stuff to Bangkok for a proper job. So your locale ir right, sorry can't help with where. Try calling some Harley shops outside BKK, they may confess.

Thailaw would you please tell us where the chroming place in Pattaya is. I used this place a while ago for a couple of bits but the chromed exhaust pipe rusted rather quickly.

Thailaw would you please tell us where the chroming place in Pattaya is. I used this place a while ago for a couple of bits but the chromed exhaust pipe rusted rather quickly. Almost directly across from Underwater World on Sukumvit (and just after Macro on the opposite side of Sukumvit) going south towards Sattahip. From the sign shown in your picture it is probably the same place. He rechromed a horn cover and the screws for me. It was badly rusted, and when I got it back it looked great and held up well until I sold the bike 6 months ago. The place in BKK may do a heavier chrome plating -- not sure. November 25, 201213 yr Yep same place...maybe I was just unlucky with the exhaust...the chrome they did on the rear grab bar ( alluminium alloy ) is still good..
November 26, 201213 yr I would stop at one of those places that sell truck racks and inquire, those things stay nice and shiny in the weather for a long time.
