Ecila
I am a university student from macao major in hotel management and would like to do my internship in Thailand hotels. However, since my internship lasts for 6 months, i am not sure about the visa and the work permit. Actually if i go to thailand for travel, i don't need a visa cos i hold a SAR passport. Yet if i want to work in thailand, i think i need to have a work permit and visa? right? but i am uncertain about how and where can i get and make this visa and permit. Can i do it in my own country? and in thailand, is it welcome those internship students? Yours prompt reply are highly appreciated. Thank you very much! dr_Pat_Pong
You'll need a Non-Immigrant Business visa. The work permit can only be applied for in Thailand, and needs the employers input. You need to apply for that visa at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Hong Kong. As far as I know, Thailand has no representation in your country.
