November 30, 201213 yr Yesterday I developed a red, speckled rash all over my body that didn't seem to itch much, except on my arms. I took an allergy pill. This morning on my way into work I was standing at a food vendors stall when I suddenly began to feel nauseated, then dizzy, and when I started to walk away I felt a clogging/ringing in my ears and my body alternately began to feel flush and cool all over. I couldn't walk and felt like I might collapse but I leaned against telephone box and stayed like this for about 20 seconds -- and eventually it passed. At the moment I feel fine again but I'm not sure what I should do. Has anyone experienced something similar to this before?
November 30, 201213 yr Sincerely hope that you have consulted a physician at this time. This forum is certainly not the venue for addressing what may be a serious medical condition. There are a number of viral infections that may present with a rash and these should be excluded urgently. If not, please do so asap!
December 4, 201213 yr Stab in the dark: Allergy possibly combined with heat stroke or dehydration. What allergy med did you take? How are you feeling now?
December 4, 201213 yr Mild rash all over is a common Thai childhood disease. Yaa Keow (green medicine) from the pharmacy sorts it out in about 3 days. Everyone gets it at some time, but only once. Thought I had the plague when it happened to me!
December 4, 201213 yr I experienced something similar, but not identical. Sting of a paper wasp in my neck. Within minutes an itching rash all over the body, and the senses shut down. Utter confusion about what's going on. Heat waves. Heart racing like mad. Can't breathe. I dragged myself from the pool to my bathroom, and sat there for half an hour under the cold shower, until it passed. I'm allergic to those wasps in Thailand I learned, and keep antihistamine in my wallet.
December 5, 201213 yr Antihistamine alone may not do it. You need to carry an "Epi Pen" to inject yourself with. See an allergist to get one. The next reqaction will be much worse than the last.
December 6, 201213 yr Mild rash all over is a common Thai childhood disease. Yaa Keow (green medicine) from the pharmacy sorts it out in about 3 days. Everyone gets it at some time, but only once. Thought I had the plague when it happened to me! mumps? chicken pox? measles? All of these you only get once. Any idea or none of the above? Also these are flu like, not same as the OP me thinks.
December 6, 201213 yr Tropical disease, not found in the West. Mild rash all over (even your feet and kneecaps), very minor itch, no fever.
December 12, 201213 yr I also have a rash, red spots on the arms. not painful or itchy I suspect it is from ingesting something inpure. but not sure I might just google some pics and look into it.
