I have already put the deposit down for a property and sacked my lawyer for his poor service. I now need a lawyer merely to go to the Land Registry (?) and check that all the property documents are transfered into my name correctly. What should I be paying for this?

I paid 67k for contract and title transfer and checking stuff with land office. The Thai lawyer was present at the land office for final transfer.

Just going to the land office would be cheaper I guess. This was also a farang firm with Thai lawyers. If it is your first land deal here, I felt great comfort in doing it this way. In fact in future I would probably do it the same unless it was very cheap upcountry land.
