I Have A Multiple Entry O Visa And I Need To Extend It.

Featured Replies

My visa expires on the 6th March, but I would like to stay in Thailand a further month before going to England on holiday. I am living in Thailand and whilst in London will hopefully be able to meet the requirements for retirement here and apply for the necessary visa or extension whatever the case may be.

As you all know, the sooner one can make plans to travel, the cheaper the air fares are and my question is, how soon can I go to the local immigration office to apply for an extension to my O visa?

Thanks for any help any of you can give me.

If the Visa expires on March 6th you can do a border run up to that date and get another 90 days.

That's great L.B., thanks for your quick reply. I thought that I had to go to the immigration office in Koh Samui and join the queue!

You can only extend a Non Imm O Visa for 12 months if you qualify or 60 days for visiting Thai Family.

As long as you enter the country before the actual expiry date of the Visa you will get 90 days.

Thanks L.B., I have to do a visa run on or before the 12th Jan, so it will work out perfectly for me to be able to stay until early April.
