December 5, 201213 yr I just recently bought a light tent to photograph objects to sell on ebay. Can someone give me some advice about lighting ?.I'm not interested in buying the lights that they were trying to sell me in the shop where I bought the tent.Bloody extortion prices.Somebody on the net suggested using simple desktop lamps. Is this possible ? Cheers Vinny
December 5, 201213 yr Ideally, daylight balanced bulbs similar to these fluorescent lamps. You really want to minimize color correction or adjusting white balance too much. Look for fluorescent with around 5000 - 5500K temperatures. Some info here - http://cowboystudio....light-tent.html
December 5, 201213 yr Author Thanks for the reply Tywais.I suppose I can find that sort of light bulb anywhere around BKK and just put it into a desktop/computer lamp ?.
December 6, 201213 yr Check out the spiral fluorescent lights, I think they come with that colour temperature. Look for the White option, not Warm. I can't check at the moment as I am not at home. Sorry
December 6, 201213 yr I got a cheap one off Ebay. recently. Maybe I wasn't using it right, but the lights it came with weren't really bright enough and it wasn't fit for purpose. I guess you get what you pay for. Edited December 6, 201213 yr by katana
