Hospital fire quickly extinguished thanks to diligent staff

Pattaya: Small electrical fire at Bangkok Hospital Pattaya gives staff an opportunity to test their procedures

Thursday Afternoon saw a small fire reported at the Main hospital. The fire , which started in the dispensary area, is thought to have started as a result of a short circuit.

Staff quickly put their emergency routine into practice as the fire produced an acrid smoke. A brigade of emergency fire engines arrived on the scene within the targeted time and all staff working in adjacent areas were evacuated as trained staff established that the fire was unlikely to spread or cause major damage.

Quickly extinguished, the Hospital security teams will now work to establish the root cause

No injuries in fire at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital

PATTAYA:--At 4am on Thursday morning a fire broke out at the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya.

Rescue services rushed to the hospital where patients and staff were already being evacuated.

Firemen managed to quickly stop the fire which it is believed started in a control room in the hospital’s emergency room. Witnesses said they heard a large bang before the fire started.

Update on fire at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital

PATTAYA:--Following the fire which occurred at the Bangkok Pattaya hospital on Thursday police have determined that the fire was caused by a short circuit in a control room behind the pharmacy in the emergency building.

Teams from health and safety and forensics have been removing items damaged or affected by the fire and to restore a safe and healthy environment for the hospital.
