:o yesterday i went to nakhon phamon immigration office to apply for a one year visa. my 90 day non-imm b visa was to run out that day. i ask if i could not have the one year visa could i extend my 90 day. they would not.

when i came to thailand one year ago i came on a tourist visa. i married in the year before. on my arrival i decided to buy some land localy that we would one day build our house on. i have rebuilt my wifes family house, have pick up truck, built a mini mart and small photo shop. then some more land became available with we had made into a rubber plantation.(so i have done my dow)

therefore i do not have the required 400,000 baht in the bank or have proof of income to the sum of 40,000 baht. but i have a limited company(six months) they say it is not big enough for me to have a work permit. but the rules state that i can have a one year non imm b, but thai embassys and consulates in asisa are not willing to issue them. WHAT DO I DO. my passport has been stamped with the applicant MUST appear at this office on the 28th feb.

Are you married to a Thai???

If yes you can get a 1 year non-o in Penang, just need you marriage docs and a copy of the wifes ID card.

This will only be an interim solution, with a multi-entry visa.

Relatively expensive as you will have to make visa runs every 3 months.

Perhaps it will suffice until you can get the 400K together?

Be very careful if you are running your shop and do not have a Work Permit.

If you are caught you will be deported.

Hopefully, your actual situation has a bit more heads and tails, than your description of it suggests.

First of all, since the local imm. office requests that you appear feb. 28 - better do appear feb. 28. Didn't they hint on anything you were supposed to get done meanwhile - if that's the case, try to get it done.

Why isn't your co., ltd (if that's what it is) big enough for a WP? Your situation definately, calls for you to make some real efforts with respect to getting a WP. I'll suggest you contact a local lawyer (other than the one who helped you setup this obviously "handicapped" company) in order to learn the exact local requirements for a WP.

Is everything - land, family house, pickup truck, minimart, photo shop, rubber plantation, company - in your wife's and her familys name, only?
