It sort of hurts to know that I'm only liked - even tolerated - for my money. (But then, in my case, that's been generally the case for a while.smile.png)

Winnie, I don't suppose you risk your own money running a business here. On top of that, you said reporting a wage of B60,000 a month and paying tax on it not that much? Sure, you may be getting paid more on your expat package, but not everybody is like you.

I set up a company for my friend from abroad in around 1990 with a 2M registered capital. My friend from abroad came to visit and visited the law firm that I handed them the task to register the company. Before I knew it, they billed me more than B80,000 for consultation fees - charged by the hour. Doing it through a Thai company would have cost me less than B10,000 but then my foreign friend wanted to do the right way like in a Western country. Rubbish, you say? Please give credit to some foreigners who've been doing business here and risking their own money for a long time but feel broken-hearted at times!
