phuturatica
I currently don't have any plans for NYE in Bangkok and I'm wondering what everyone else is doing. I just wanna have a nice time with my boyfriend so any suggestions on what's happening around the city? Muchly appreciated. Thanks!
HardenedSoul
Hi Phuturatica. I can imagine that, as soon as you said "with my boyfriend", most of the 60+ people who viewed your OP got just couldn't be arsed to respond! Next time, say you're going with other girls or something. Personally, 9 times out of 10, I find NYE to be something of an anti-climax since people try too hard to have a good time and inevitably end up drinking or snorting/popping too much. Nevertheless, you could try Bash on soi 11. It'll be busy for sure and should be open before it's usual opening time of 12am. Oskar just down the road should be good too. Tapas Bar on Silom soi 4 has no hookers and, most importantly for a girl, none of the troglodytes who typically pursue them. The music is quality house and grooves. Lots of ordinary, legitimately-employed Thais, a few farangs and a bouncing atmosphere.

Maybe she do not enjoy time at home with her boyfriend?
villagefarang
The consensus seems to be, show your man a good time at home, and avoid the noisy drunken hordes.

I have a NYE tradition involving Sizzlers and my significant other(s). Staying in permits me a better time.
