1Yr Visa Extension - Reentry - Valid For How Long

Featured Replies

hi all..

just finaly managed to get a 1 year extension on the non-o visa i had based on marriage & son.

i'm aware if i want to go out of Thailand i need to get a retry permit thing from immigration.

how long is it valid for .. what i mean is i have to report every 90 days. and in june we plan to go to the uk for 2 months

will the rentry on the extension be valid for this or does it void the 1 year extension and i have to start from scratch again

A Re-Entry permit is valid to the end of your current extension. If you just get a Single re-entry for baht 1,000, it'll end when you return, but doesn't affect your extension at all.

the re-entry permit is valid as long as your extension is.

You have to report to Immigration every 90days this is a per-requisite of having an extension.

A reentry permit is always valid until the same date as your current permission to stay. So in your case it will be valid until sometime in December of 2013 since you just got a one year extension.

As others have said the reentry is valid for the length of your visa. 90 day reporting is a separate issue.

If you leave before your 90 day report you are okay. If you leave say 100 days after your last report you may get fined for not reporting and being 10 days over. Once you leave the country, however, your 90 day reporting is reset to the day you reenter the country. You start over from zero and don’t need to continue the old 90 day schedule if that is what you were asking.

Actually you start over at day 1. Day of arrival is day one as with visa entry.

Don't forget to enter your reentry permit number on your arrival card when returning to Thailand

5 cent worth contribution from Kraxi=member

again, U can report 90 days by mail (EMS) to the immigration
