Wanted Convenience Store armed robbery suspect caught in Pattaya drugs sting

PATTAYA:--An undercover drug operation led to the arrest of a man wanted in connection with two armed robberies at 24 hour convenience stores in the Pattaya and Banglamung areas.

Police Colonel Supatee, Deputy Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police led a press conference at Banglamung Police Station on Thursday Morning to announce the arrest of Khun Artiya aged 27 who was initially arrested at the culmination of an undercover operation. He was lured to the front of the Tungrad Temple School in Banglamung. He was caught with 0.8g of Crystal Methamphetamine and was found to be carrying a fake gun.

Further investigations revealed he was wanted on an arrest warrant number 665/2555 dated 19th December issued by the Pattaya Provincial Court.

Undercover drugs operation nets armed robber by luck

PATTAYA:--Bangalamung Police arrested a thief that used a gun to rob grocery stores

On the 20^th December 2012 at 10.00 am. Colonel Supatee Boonklong; Commander of Chonburi police , Colonel Supachai Puikaewkam; Commander of Banglamung Police, Colonel Jakkrit Tuasuparp, Colonel Teeradech Mastanapun, Associate Senator and investigating team inform that they arrested 27 year old Mr. Kan Wanlop, (nicknamed Artiya) .

He has been charged with armed robbery of two convenience stores using a handgun to intimidate the shop staff, which has subsequently turned out to be a fake. At the time of his arrest he was found to be in possession of nearly a gram of Yabba Ice ( Methamphetamine) and police seized the fake gun together with the motorcycle and clothing used in the shop robberies.

Dressed in the full face crash helmet, he had robbed at least two convenience stores, one in Sri Ratcha and the other in the Banglamung district
