My go to place right across the street from wat chedi luang now makes it farang style....

We're on foot or tuk tuk this trip staying at Le Meridien....can anyone suggest a place that serves khao soi at dinner nearby the hotel? Local place is fine since my Thai is passable.

Head down The Night Bazaar towards Tai Pa on the left hand side in between the vacant lot and the bank of Siam there is a shop that sells a passable one.

If you are not adverse to spending a little money there is a very good one at the River Market. the new restaurant on the right before you cross the river on La Khro.

By the 3 Kings monument , road beside it on south side. Passable Khao Soi but only lunch time.

Try Khamin Restuarant at nimman soi 5, best khao soi in Chiang Mai (at least to me for their beef khao soi, so yummy....) and open 10.30 - 20.30, another plus point is reasonable price, think is 50 or 60 baht a bowl.
