Advice About 30 Day Extension On Multiple Entry Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Happy boxing day people.......sorry if this has been asked many time before..but am in a bit of hurry with limited internet access..

I have a triple entry tourist Visa. Today is day 59 of the first entry. It expires on the 27th.

I was planning to pop over to Cambodia this morning, do the old border run. But have a stinking cold, and also a broken / plastered up hand.... So wasn't in the mood for the train or bus.

My friend and gf said that i maybe able to go to Chaengwattana and get a 30 day extension, for 1900 baht. Is this correct?

My friend wasn't sure if it had to be 60 days tho, and i don't really want to leave it the morning to chance, otherwise might not have time to make the border run trip

So what i want to know is I am on day 59 can i go there this afternoon and apply for a 30 day extension and will i need anything different then the usual form and 2 photos?

Also I'm guessing the office / borders aren't closed today for any type of holdiay? Just new years day?

Ideally i'd prefer to go Combodia and get the 60 day, so don't have to worry about it again next month, however be nice to do the trip in comfort and also the gf can come next time, cause i can do it at the weekend, when she's not at work.

Thanks in advance

Yes you friend is correct, you can apply for a 30 day extension.

Plus you don't have to leave it until the last day either - the extras 30 days will run from the 60 day 'Permitted to Stay' date in your passport.

Yes each of the 3 entries can be extended by 30 days. 1,900 Baht.

Best to do it during the final week of the 60 days.

You just have to be careful that the Visa is still valid when making your 3rd entry.

Thanks for the advice...i'll get ready and head off down to immigration then for when they open after lunch

Is it simple enough? What form will i need to fill in? and do i need anything else...other than my passport and 2 photo's? i.e: photocopies of passport, proof of address etc?

thanks again :)

There is a standerd form you fill in.

Passport, arrival card plus copy of them), photo and 1,900 baht fee and maybe proof of address will be all you need.

TM7 form plus 1900 baht. If you download it make sure that you print it back to back on one sheet. Only one picture required. Copies of bio page of passport, visa, permission to stay stamp and departure card.

You can obtain copies one floor down in the shopping center if you have to.
