Ricardo
I remember this one, being in my local paper when it happened, as this aircraft used to fly in-and-out of Manston, my then-local airport. There was also another lovely prang, when someone pulled the wrong breaker on a DC8-freighter undergoing maintenance, so that the undercarriage retracted/gave-way. Ouch ! spud67
I really hoped to get an aircraft airborne but when this one started its take off roll I got busy. So instead, here is a pic semi-obscured by snow. Make, model and operator/owner... I doubt this aircraft sees a lot of snow covered runways. spud67
Spud67, Dubai Air Wing A320-200 It's probably used to be a different kind of snow Correct! According to another link I found, an Airbus A320-232X CJ to be exact. Not sure if the reference is correct though. Interesting - Dubai Air Wing has been missed out in the wiki global list of A320 operators... We might never have known if Spud67 had not posted that photo. Out of interest, where was the photo taken? Interesting shot. Picture taken at Iqaluit, Canada. Yes, yes it is cold. Thank you very much. 4 more months til Thailand. Good grief SVB, Would not be the first time Wikipedia has missed/omitted/got it wrong... It is however listed on the Dubai Air Wing wikipedia page... I have tried to provide only what is available publicly as my job in aviation does not allow for public dissemination. Personally, I think the whole privacy thing is a little over blown but not my call. I checked flightaware.com for the flight plan but it has been blocked. So no details on the flight. Also, in case my bosses are reading, pictures taken from groundside.

SeaVisionBurma
Doesn't look like a 737-8Q8 (737-800 series) - no winglets for a start, and the paint job is wrong. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shanghai_Airlines#Fleet
GrantSmith
Agree on it not looking like an -800 series with the lack of winglets, however there are a few -800 series birds out there without them.. Snooping around Airliners.net also found this to be true in the case of Shanghai Airlines, as for the paint job, could be the light playing tricks, but that tail is pretty much bang on for Shanghai Airlines... Tail is fine - its the livery up the side of the fuselage I was thinking of. Have a look at the photos on that wiki page (or a google search by aircraft type for Shanghai). Different between the 767 and the newer 737....
