South African (Caucasian)

What a year I have had in the Kingdom, wow, this country has been good to me.

Anyway, I'm currently on a non-ed visa and heading back to Cape Town (South Africa) in a couple of days.

I'm a little worried because after I extended my non-ed for another 3 months the immigration officer just stapled a little slip to the following page of my passport. It says I'm permitted to stay until Feb 2013. However the Departure Card in my passport has not changed and still shows the "admitted until" date as Nov 2012 (prior to the extension) on it.

I have a slight feeling that when I'm at the airport they might question me about this departure card and assume that I have overstayed. Hope not.

Is this correct and in order? They were not supposed to change the departure card were they? Perhaps when I hand them my passport at the airport I should hand it to them Open to the page of the little extension slip and stamp.

Hopefully it's okay, just thought I'd make sure.

The dates on the arrival card are never changed when you get a (new) permission to stay. Don't worry, everything is as it should be.

However do not like the "a little slip" comment. Your extension should be stamped on a passport page not an attached piece of paper if that is what you have. Are you sure that little slip is not a 90 day address report receipt and that you do not actually have a permitted to stay until entered somewhere in your passport (and that may not be the same date so you need to find).

Lopburi, there is a slip as well as a stamp. The slip says to report again in early Feb, the stamp says I'm admitted until mid Feb. Thanks, everything is okay.
