Kuala Lumpur Airport

Featured Replies

Anyone know if there is a smoking lounge inside International departures area? After screening and passport control? Like the one at Don Muang? Or is it outside only?

A KL airport search would have got you this

Smoking is not permitted in the airport's premises. However, there are established designated smoking areas inside the airport.

They are located at :

Contact Pier

a) Domestic Level (near Gate B2)

Satellite Building

a) Near Gate C11 and C31 (Mezzanine Level)

You had to take the train to the other building last time I was there.

Correct...

Nowadays I am flying once a month Malaysia Aiirlines Kl>BKK... and even for a beer, I have to reach -by train- the main terminal

Otherwise Smoking Transit is an useful wesite about quickly finding a smoking area on an any airport.

Yes there is one upstairs next to a book shop I think, I was there recently when a man asked me if I would keep an eye on his bag while he went there for a smoke, he came back fairly quickly and said he only smoked half the ciggy as the air in the room was blue with smoke.

Yep. A mate of mine gave up a year or two ago but still pops his head into these places to remind him why he gave up, especially when the cleaner enters wearing a gas mask biggrin.png

Actually its many years since I travelled by bus in Thailand but some of those used to have smoking cubicles at the back, do they still exist I wonder ?

there is no beer or any other consumable alcohol at the main terminal building. only at the satellite building. Probably the government thinks that way they can prevent local Malays from trying to consume alcohol, as all MAS flights depart from the main terminal building, whereas most foreign carriers depart from T2 (satellite)

doesnt excite me that much.....any amount of good pubs in KL or PJ airport beer is always a rip off anyway
