Us Visa For Thai Gf...any Advice?

Recommended Posts

Im a us citizen living in Thailand . I have a 1 yr OA Visa.

I have a business in the US

and have been dividing my time 6 mo california,6 mo Phuket.

My Thai GF, owns a rental house, car, and wants to be back in Thailand

in Nov to receive her BA degree,at the graduation cerimony...

I have known her 7 months

I would like to get her a visa to go to the US with me..3 mo..

I know this isn't easy, but since I have considerable assets, does anyone

know about the possibility of me posting a bond/ guarantee for her?

Thanks,

Arterre

I have thought about asking this question too.

It seems to me that a guarantee bond from a US

citizen should be sufficient to get at least a toursit

visa for someone. But the bond amount would have

to be substantial I suspect.

I did not see anything about this on US Embassy

website.

I am surprised no one at all responded to this post.

Sorry, guys, but there is no system of posting a bond to guarantee the return of a Thai citizen wanting to travel to the US. He/she must qualify on their own merits.

It might help, though, to indicate she would be traveling with you - and that you yourself have compelling links to Thailand (work permit, investment, business, etc.).

MrVietnam

I suspect you are right about no bond being possible under

current law.

But why would the line circle the globe if it were possible ??

If the bond amount was substantial, very few could persuade

an Ameican citizen to sponser them because of the risk level.

I would think a $25,000 bond from a reputable person

with job, real estate, and other US ties would be substantial

enough.

Then again ...... a high class call girl can bring in $100,000

per year for a 400% annual return on 25K$.

Guess you are right.

The bond would have to be $250,000 or more. Very few could

swing let alone be interested in risking this amount.
