Double Entry Tourist Visa Question

Featured Replies

Hi Thai visa,

I have some slight problem with my double entry tourist visa.

So, I entered the kingdom 4 months ago, first entry 13 Oct 2012

I got 30 days extension which permit my stay to 10th of January.

Just went to visa company (for a visa run on Thursday) and they told me I can't use my 2nd entry, because my passport is stated that visa much be utilized on 02.01.2013

Are they wrong? Or I should go for another visa in the nearest country?

They are correct. The enter before date on visa means exactly what it says.

You need to get new visa

Yeah, but I have enter before this date in Thailand (first entry). Technically this second entry is becoming useless by default, that's amazing.

All entries must be made by that date. You may remain past that date if arrival stamp allows but the visa can not be used for another entry.

When was the visa issued. It sounds like it only had a 90 day validity period and you did not use if for a week or more after issue.

Fair comment, well I think embassy in my home country screwed up, big time. No matter, new visa cost as much as visa run, so I guess I will spend my money in Laos.

Visa is issued on 4th of October 2012

Normally other than nearby embassies and consulates visas with more than one entry are valid for 180 days.
