Hello, I am a massive muppet and have lost my departure card due to it not being stapled in. I flew from the UK to Bangkok and now i am currently having training for a job that starts in Chiang Mai. I obviously need this card for the work permit (which i did not know). Do I have to go back to Bangkok in order to fill out a new one?? Please help me i am panicking quite a bit. Thanks

Make a police report for the lost TM6 departure card and then go to immigration in Chiang Mai to get a new one.

aah you star, so you dont think I will have to go all the way back to bangkok? Do i just go into the Police Station to make the report? Sorry im very new to this...

No problem to get new TM6 at any immigration office. They do it all the time.

Does he really need to make a police report? I can't recall the details but years ago lost mine and can't remember if it was on departure at the airport or at immigration getting an extension where they gave me a good scolding but that was about it. I just recall it took them a some extra time to process me but that was it and most of that time was simply telling me how important it was not to take it out of my passport again.

Edit: the more I think about it, pretty sure it was at the airport on departure but there was another time too at immigration but think they were just a bit upset because I didn't have it "stapled" in my passport because I took it out when I made a copy.

Thanks .. good to know. As I said I don' remember the details of my incidents but just remember getting a serious earful and learned quickly they take these cards pretty dam_n serious.
