I am having unbelievable difficulties in getting the airport tax refunded for a few flights I did not take last year. I have gone through the tax refund process and even after several reminders and complaints, the money still was not wired to my SCB account. Every time I complain they respond that "Based from the system log, we were in the midst of processing your airport tax refund request. Kindly wait for our reply and thank you for your patience. We hope that you will grant us the opportunity to prove there are better experiences to have with us." I keep getting this response for a few months already. Anyone else having similar problems? Seems like they would like to keep those money and simply hope people will get tired and just give up.

i have been waiting for 7 weeks even after their promise.

first time i did it it took 2 months to see my refund.

Still thou, it did make it which is better than nothing.

Inform them how long you have been waiting now and that you will refer the case to the consumer protection agency if you do not get your money back in 14 days.

spoke with online help and they said my refund was posted the 20th of dec ( for flight i did not take on Nov 22nd) and would take at least anouther 3-4 weeks to reach me ( it is going back to my Thai AmEx

Not had a problem with my refunds the 2 times I've had to request.

Refunds through a creditcard can take time. Creditcard companies seem to take their time with this.

I was surprised to see that they do not refund the VAT, only the SERVICE CHARGE?
