Multi Entry Visa

Featured Replies

I have a one year multi visa, I am in Thailand for 4 months the first 90 days runs out on the 8 February.

My question is do I need to go out of the country on a visa run? Or can I go to imigration and get an extension ?i am due to leave for the uk on the 27th February so would like the easy option.

The visa is an o visa marriage also would it make Any difference that we Are now divorced (that's anougher story ) any answers would be most grateful thanks in advance

Since you are divorced you will have to leave the coutry and make a new entry. You cannot get more than an extra 7 days on your current entry, which is not enough.

(Unless you are over 50, than you might have another option).

i am 56 what would be the other option please

Being over 50 you could qualify for an extension of stay based on retirement.

Requirement would be:

- having an income of at least 65,000 a month (can be from abroad and must be certified by your embassy in that case)

OR

- having at least 800,000 baht in a bankaccount in Thailand for 2 months

OR

- have a combination of yearly income and money in the bank in Thailand together totaling 800,000.

If you meet one of these conditions you qualify for a 1 year extension of stay.

(Having a Thai child would give you 60 days, but you don't mention any).
