Getting A 60 Day Visa In Pengang?

Featured Replies

Hello, im currently in Thailand on a 30day visa on arrival (scandinavian arrived from middle east)

As i understand it, i can fly out and return and get a 30 day new visa on arrival. or

Fly to Malaysia and get a 60 day (which can be extended 30 days) and with a visa run, i can do this one more time.

so my plan is

1: Book return ticket (4-5 days) to pengang, Malaysia

2: Bring passport + passport photos to a Thai consulate in Pengang next morning

3: return to Thailand

Is that correct? Is it really as simple as that? smile.png

Thanks in advance for any comments or help from you guys.

Also i would appreciate if someone could confirm that i only need passport and passport photos as my only documents?

Cheers

You now have a 30 day visa exempt entry (visa on arrival is 15 days and you do not qualify). Yes you can obtain a new 30 day visa exempt entry on any air arrival or 15 days at a land border return (this is not limited to any set number).

You could obtain a two entry tourist visa from Vientiane but suspect only a single entry will be provided at Penang so one entry of 60 days that can be extended 30 days for 1,900 baht at immigration and then a new entry/visa would be required if you do not qualify for extension of stay for marriage/retirement/work/etc. Visa is applied for in morning and issued next afternoon at most locations and for tourist normally only application/photos/copies of passport are required with payment.
