webfact
Chalerm denies being inebriated during Malaysia trip The Nation BANGKOK: -- Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yoobamrung yesterday denied he was in an inebriated condition during his three-day visit to Malaysia, after pictures of him were posted on Facebook. However, he admitted that he and his friends had polished off eight bottles of wine. Chalerm said he has five friends in Malaysia and Singapore and he calls this group "the five musketeers". He said this group had even helped him when he was a political refugee, in Denmark. He said he always met his friends at least once a year. However, in the last two years he did not have the opportunity to meet them so when he went to Malaysia his friends picked him up at the airport. After that his friends invited him over, and they drank wine. "There were no Thai or Malaysian government officers present at the get-together. It was only close friends hanging out together and we all shared the bill," Chalerm said. He admitted that he did look inebriated in the pictures but he wasn't. -- The Nation 2013-01-
Popular Post Thai at Heart
Oh my, oh my. I don't know what is worse? He can hold his share of 8 bottles, or that he must have been a bit pished. This is the national representative for solving the southern problem. What a crappy story for all involved.
Popular Post OzMick
He would have more credibility if he denied being sober.
Popular Post BangkokHank
So, Chalerm has perfected the art of looking drunk while being sober. That's a useful skill. In the end, though, what does it matter that he was drunk - as long as they all shared the bill?

Popular Post dcutman
Chalerm has five friends? I think you could consider Jack Daniels, Stoli, Chevas, Jose Cuervo, his friends as well.
Popular Post arthurboy
Maybe he had a reoccurrence of his ear problem. This man is a liability; however, with his influence and power, he is - at present - untouchable and unaccountable. What hope is there for Thailand when arrogance, sakdina, greng jai, nepotism and cronyism remain the order of the day? What hope for the future? What hope?

Popular Post Pimay1
He said this group had even helped him when he was a political refugee, in Denmark I really like this one. If he told the truth he would have said they helped him when he fled to Denmrk to avoid prosecution for being unusually rich. Of course there aren't many politicians that accept accountability for their own actions.
siampolee
He said this group had even helped him when he was a political refugee, in Denmark That should probably read that these five friends helped his evil spawn evade justice while it was a deserter from the R.T.A and a police killer on the run..

slapout
The man is giving a new meaning to the "functional alcholic" class. He denies and admits he was drunk, only on personal time of course(with friends), and what did he realy accomplish with this trip? Another 8 ball in the Thai government rack of screwballs. The man qualifies as the drawback on any team that he is a part of.He has lead by example for his sons, and a mulitude of undeaserables, but just maybe the upcoming population in Thailand can find a deep hole to put this kind of leach into.

Popular Post EyesWideOpen
I have said it before and I will say it again, the fact this moronic thug holds a position of power is beyond astonishing. And probably one of the best examples of how broken the Thai political system really is. I have heaped scorn upon this man for years, and each year he just lowers the bar to unheard of levels. I guess this is arrogance taken to the final level, where you just do whatever you want, and fart in people's faces if they do not like it. I truly look forward to the demise of the Yingluck government, and the removal of Chalerm from political office. Of course now that I think of it, America had to put up with a drunken Ted Kennedy for many years. But at least he had the class at one point to come forward and make a public statement apologizing for being a bozo. Hey maybe Chalerm will do the same ......
