For Rob8891...and everyone...

Rob...on page 23 my post #563 entailed a bit about the dogs of Sochi.

I wondered what happened to them and the athletes who adopted some

of the pooches. You see...when we in the media are on a top story such

as the Sochi Olympics we jump on something like athletes adopting the

dogs and get heaps of footage & frames for said story and then when it's

all over.....????? Well the powers that be who we work for drop the story

for another item making the news and in this digital age most folks

forget that there is still a story about those dogs...as there are many stories

about other news items that have seemingly disappeared into the ether

and many peoples minds....everybody forgets.

That post of mine got me to thinking so I called an old friend at MSNBC

and made inquiries. There's stuff out there I was informed...and passed

a link to an NBC website. Then after viewing their site I did a little digging

and found a bunch more websites regarding the "Dogs of Sochi" after the

Olympics...all things considered...it's not as bad as some my think.

The link below is NBC's and be sure to click on the link to their video; it's

orange in colour, "Watch: Olympian Gus Kenworthy reunited with stray puppies

from Sochi" ...then if you're interested...use Google for other info.

^^^ Shaggy....is this the same Golden as the puppy cooling off in the water a while ago?

Nice pic.

Thanks sunshine.

Yeah that's the same one fella,he has and such a wonderful nature.(not too many people have seen a dog share it's bone with a chicken I think!)

The first time I met him he came running bundling over to me and supplied me with enough licks and tail wags to last me a lifetime.

As did Cafe, but she is nimble enough to jump over Chaa Jieows back to get to me.Truly a wonderful pair of dogs, will post some more

piccies when I get them sorted.

^^^ Shaggy....To bite...or...not to bite. That is the question....smile.png

or in that ones case,,,,to prick or not to prick, mouth full of little needles.

The image I posted of the puppy is probably on a 3:1 scale, such a tiny cute little thing.
