Mouse Pad Pointer Has Become Very Slow To Highlight.........?

Featured Replies

For some reason the Pointer via the Laptop Pad has become very slow in highlighting links, tabs etc when hovering over them......... From reboot its fine but within 5-10 minutes its lagging.

Rest of Laptop appears fine. Norton is running as normal, but have run a Norton virus/Malware remover programme which highlighted no faults found.

Any Suggestions....??

Thanks

If you are using win7 and chrome browser, I have also had some slowing these past few days.

Suggest you beg/borrow/steal a mouse, plug it in, see if same problem.

Best to let people here know your laptop model, and if you are xp or win7 (easier for us to narrow help suggestions).

Cheers, AA

Windows 7 Using Firefox.........

Its Fujisu AH 531....

Looks like you've got a shit-hot machine. Suggest you try a mouse. Also (not sure how to do this in FF) try cleaning out the cache - should be a tools button or somesuch that allows you to clean out the cache, history etc.

Check to see if your main partition is approaching being filled. Click Windows Explorer > C drive > (R click) Properties. What proportion of C drive have you used?

Do you clean out your Recycle Bin? Everything you delete stays on your machine, occupying space, unless you empty it.

Finally, when in Properties as above, you can order a disk cleanup, and a defragmentation.

Apologies if this is like suggesting how to suck eggs. AA

go to control panel

click on mouse

see what your settings are

some times if your mouse is set to the fastest setting the mouse goes real slow

just back it up 2 spaces, should fix your problem

Am at a loss here as to whats going on............

Its all starting to freeze across the board now....... The unit was Electric Speed as far as I'm concerned and haven't downloaded anything and no Malware/Virus on laptop either......

No idea whats occuring !!

Sounds to me like there may be some crap under the pad. Google how to clean it. You should be able to pick up a cheapo usb mouse for 150+B. Good luck

Yes but as I have said the whole unit has slowed now.........

As I say gone from Super Quick to Super Slow in an instant......

I have another free programme which I'll run later today to see if that improves it. If not I'll have to take to an engineer unfortunately.
