So I roll up to the Thailand Cultural and Design Centre (TCDC) at the long standing cafe there has gone.

Anyone know what happened?

No cafe there certainly takes away the ambiance of the place for sure

I don't know what happened, and I agree.

If I had to make a wild guess I'd say someone in the higher echelons of the administration decided it wasn't right for a private, profit-oriented establishment to operate in a government-funded space. Probably with the intention of bringing in his or her own operation ;)
