3 Months Out Of Thailand Between 2 Double Entry Tourist Visas

Featured Replies

hi everyone.

i am a french passport holder and i have heard that after using your double entry 6 months tourist visa ( 2+1+2+1), you will be asked to stay away from the thai kingdom for the next 3 months...

true or not ???

thanx for your answers...............

plaa meuk

Not true enter, get 60 days, extend 30. Exit and return same day get 60 + 30.

Yes. Not true.

You are hearing that likely because of an old policy for visa exempt entry (three months in a six month period) which has been rescinded several years ago. There never was any such policy for tourist visas.

are the above posters implying that it is again possible to stay in LOS on TV's indefinitly?........ i feel that the OP has the more accurate info.....there was a clampdown on no. of TV's issued on a back to back basis...... and i have not heard any slacking of that clampdown.......

Not true enter, get 60 days, extend 30. Exit and return same day get 60 + 30.

read his post...he's asking what happens after the double entry......

He can apply for another visa or enter unlimited times on visa exempt stamp.

There has been no change in current visa rules for Thailand.

There has not been a change and it has never been impossible to stay on tourist visas back to back. For any reason but tourism actual long term plans should not be made on that basis however. Some Consulates will set there own rules for issue but there has been and is no problem entering or staying in Thailand for many months or even years for those with the funds to support themselves. Nobody is being told to stay out 3 months before return as a matter of policy.
