Sata Hard Drive Optical Bay Caddy

Haven't seen a caddy advertised in Thailand, but they are of course available on ebay.com.

If you are using a laptop, you might be surprised how easy it is to swap hard drives (mine has a plastic cover over the drive bay, with one Phillips-head screw to remove).

BIOS gets less confused (ie. requires you to make fewer changes) when only one drive is connected.

Anyway, something to twiddle with until you find your caddy. AA

ps. if you go this route, probably a good idea to detach battery before changing HDs.

Thanks guys,

I already changed the HDD in the laptop, switched to an SSD, I now want to put the original HDD into the optical bay, replacing the broken DVD drive that is in it at the moment.

It looks like I'll have to ebay one of these over then.

Let me know when you find reasonable priced ones - I like one too
