Visa Run At Kanchanaburi Three Pagoda Pass?

Featured Replies

I will be needing an out and in stamp to activate my second entry of my visa.

I would love to do a trip up to three pagoda pass in Kanchanaburi.

I see where people have mentioned taking a day trip to Myanmar from Mai Sot or Three Pagoda pass and they didn't need their passport at all. That way would not be good since I need to go out and in on my passport.

Does anyone have experience with crossing (with exit stamp) at three pagoda pass, having day pass to Myanmar, and crossing back to Thailand with a new entry? Possible on Sunday.

Just to narrow the information a bit:

I have already been to Myanmar many times (used to work there) and know longer trips to other locations are nice. No need to recommend other places in Myanmar.

I know about one day visa runs to Cambodia. That's an option but hoping to not do that.

I know Three pagoda pass is really far from Muang Kanchanaburi. My Thai friend wants to drive there anyway.

I know Air Asia flies many other places too for interesting visa runs (am considering KL, Penang, Phnom Penn).

So, anyone know if crossing at Three Pagoda pass is possible for activating a new entry on a Thai visa.

Is it possible on Sunday?

Thanks so much!

Drew

You can not obtain stamps there.

I concur.

Not possible there.

Passport is required when crossing from Mae Sot. Myanmar Immigration take your passport and give you a plastic card as a receipt. You pay 500 baht and have to return before 5pm. The passport is stamped in and out.

The question was about Three Pagoda Pass - not Mae Sot. Different places.
