Senior Police General receives 30 day Pattaya crime crackdown update

PATTAYA:--The 30 day Pattaya Crime Crackdown which aims to rid crime from the streets of Pattaya in the space of just one month is coming to its final stages and Thailand’s top Police Officers want to know how it’s going.

On Monday at Pattaya Police Station, Police General Wutti, Senior Consultant to the National Police Commissioner attended a meeting of all senior Region 2 Police Officers along with senior officers from other Police agencies such as the Tourist Police and Immigration Police.

The crackdown is set to finish on 7th February and many are asking what will be happening after this date. The General confirmed in the meeting that although the results of the crackdown so far are extremely encouraging and the stats are showing a significant reduction of crime, especially those involving tourists, the crackdown will not end on 7th February and will continue indefinitely.
