Have a phone that is locked to the one carrier so no good for all of my sim cards how would one go about unlocking this

I was thinking of just tracking down to the local IT centre if it is possible

android? unlock the bootloader and install your flavour of droid. IOS? look what baseband/ios version you are on and post it.

Unlocking is simple process that many of those little phone booth shops will do for 2-300 baht. Pantip Plaza or others.

It would help if you identified the phone.

Use this and do it yourself I use them regularly excellent back up if needed.
