It Rains.... It Floods.... They Put Sand In The Dip ...

Along the road that leads to my housing estate there is one problem area in particular where the water collects when it rain. Earlier this week it rained quite heavily and a flooded area was the result again.

M/C taxis will not ride through it, cars turn around and use a longer route.

The solution? Along comes a dumper truck filled with sand. The sand is tipped into the flooded dip and levelled out a bit and off they go. Now it is dangerous for motorbikes as wheels often slip in thick wet sand, a bit like riding on the beach with soft wet sand.

Three days of slight rain, pick-up trucks and other traffic to the estate have - obviously - dispersed the sand and the dip is more or less back to normal except for the more hazardous areas with deep wet sand.

The solution? More sand tipped into the dip ....... and it has started raining again with dark clouds on the horizon.

Umh .... hardcore? No chance.

Sometimes you have to laugh - or scream!!
