(Non) Narcotic Story

Featured Replies

2 of my staff went for lunch on the usual small places on the sidewalk.

Police came and let them pee a narcotic test.

Both no problem...no narcotic.

But what kind of fascist witch hunt is that. raiding places force pee tests??

Correction: they let one pee and searched the car of the other.

They found a knife in the car and asked for what it is. He told for fishing and they were OK.

Maybe they looked very suspissous...biggrin.png

Sorry.

See thread currently running: "When Will You Call Thailand Home?"

My answer: NEVER.

You can figure out why.

Under the veneer of democracy, Thailand is essentially a police state, albeit a generally benevolent one.

That's not a criticism, just an observation.

Sounds like someone made an accusation, the police did not find anything, whence being pissed off

I will be happy to submit to the test, if they hold the bottle.

no don't think so, because I got told that an hour later they still pulled random people from the street/shops and test them.

I am surprised that they didn't found a gun in the car of the other. As long as I know he always has a gun.....maybe good hidden???

Could you advise which part of Thailand / Bangkok you're in?

I've never heard of a random pee-test in broad daylight for regular office staff out to lunch.

West....Area Thaveewattana. I never heard of something like that before as well. And my staff was also a bit confused.

I got told there are a lot narcotics in our area but I think you can say that for every area in Thailand.

Before once the car of one staff got searched, but it was at night and he lived together with 2 narcotic people....so everyone pee and check the car as well.

(pee no narcotic but in the car 1 or 2 guns.....well he comes from the south.....) But that guy looks a bit dubious while the office staff looks nice.
