Chiang Mai Documentary Arts Festival

Featured Replies

This Asian documentary photo exhibit is well worth a visit. CMU Art Center is at the intersection of Nimmanhaemin and Suthep Roads. Parking entrance is on Nimman. This show closes on February 14, so don't delay!

I went for the opening last night. It was well-attended, and the volunteer staff did a great job of handling the crush at the free food table. That stuff went quickly!

Yes, it's going to be a really good week of events. In particular, Shahidul_Alam's keynote address "Confessions Of A Photo Activist" tomorrow evening should be very well worth attending.

Please Mr Moderator, can you leave this on the main page - the posts in the CM Forum are so frequent that even a live link to the News & Events section disappears off the front page within a few hours and then only people actively looking for events get to discover it. This is a new and major event in the Chiang Mai arts and cultural calendar and deserves a wide airing.

PS I have no connection with the organisers but I know they have worked tirelessly to put this together.

Two days left for this major showing of photographic talent.

I'm not involved in it except as a happy spectator.

Went to the opening of Ged Murray's exhibition at Doo Dee Gallery the other evening and over to CMU this morning. A really outstanding collection of pictures - particularly the Asian Women Photographers Showcase.

Do catch this before it ends.
