February 10, 201313 yr Bit of a subjective question isn't it? Best for some will be the Nana hotel....for others the Oriental or Peninsula. My favourite is the Banyan Tree.
February 10, 201313 yr Most hotels I've stayed in i think are better so....all a matter of personal taste I guess.
February 10, 201313 yr I like Amari Watergate. I used to live at Centre Point up the road. It's child friendly and the staff have always been great.
February 10, 201313 yr Stayed there a few times; nice interior, very comfortable rooms, great spanish restaurant. Was a bit let down by the service at the front desk. 40 minutes to check in, then they could not find the booking (had the booking number) and it was all our fault. Having said that I would stay there again
February 10, 201313 yr Wish i could brag too, but the hotels I normally stay at have the peeling wallpaper and one lift that desn't work.
February 11, 201313 yr To the OP-have you have ever stayed in the JW Marriott, Four Seasons, Shangri la, Hyatt, Interconi in Bkk? All those are quite a big step up above the grand millennium i would say (based on extensive internet research rather than first hand experience, ahem) .... Edited February 11, 201313 yr by ExpatJ
February 14, 201313 yr Never stayed at any of those fancy hotels. As long as it has hot running water, good air and free bottle water it's good enough for me.
February 17, 201313 yr No it's not girl friendly; if I remember correctly (I was a teeny bit drunk at the time) they wanted extra money for guests
February 17, 201313 yr Emerald Ratchada. Green light if VIP guest, best looking chicks in all of Bangkok, all within walking distance (except for InLove which is a 60 baht taxi ride away)
February 18, 201313 yr Never stayed at any of those fancy hotels. As long as it has hot running water, good air and free bottle water it's good enough for me. What about a fridge? Surely that must be the most important after the A\C.
