I bought tiles at boonthavorn on sukhumvit two years ago, however lost their invoice/receipt. I went back to ask for a copy and was told that I needed to go to the police to report the loss if this invoice/receipt ????

This seems strange, it's merely a piece of paper that I lost, not my passport or driving license. I consider this to be a matter of customer service, not a police matter.

Anybody else had the same experience at boonthavorn or elsewhere ? Anybody understands their rationale ?

That's ridiculous. Ask to speak with the manager. They seem to have a pretty good invoicing system. But perhaps they clean out everything in a year or so?

Why would you need a two year old receipt? Maybe they just dont want to go to the trouble of getting a copy for you, or maybe they dont understand what you actually need.

I lost (threw away) a warranty document from Isuzu and when I needed it later I had to do the same thing, police report and then they got me a copy no problem. Although seemed strange to me it was easy enough to do.

Come on now!! I can just imagine going into B & Q in the UK and asking for a copy of a receipt issued two years ago!

OP are you by any chance looking to buy the same tiles and thus need the invoice ?

If that is the case, don't bother as the different batches of tiles will have slightly different colors. I was always advised to buy only tiles from the same batch.

If you are a member of Boothavorn's Loyalty program, boonthavornfamily, they will have a record of your purchase in their computers, which will give you the style of tiles you purchased two years ago
