Chinese Tourist robbed at knife-point by Motorbike Taxi Driver in East Pattaya

PATTAYA:--Late on Monday Night a female Chinese Tourist was taken to Nongprue Police Station to report an armed robbery in Soi Tanman in East Pattaya by a Motorbike Taxi Driver.

newsjsPolice blocked the local media from covering the story inside the station. A witness to the armed robbery, Khun Warapon aged 32, who assisted the tourist and took her to the Police Station, explained to us that the tourist had spent the day at the Sanctuary of Truth Attraction in Naklua. She wanted to go back to her Hotel but was not sure of its location.

The Chinese are coming! The Chinese are Coming!

And so it begins....many more mainland chinese tourists here the last couple of years however they play by different rules compared to the whinging but 'passive' farang. Their families have serious money and big eggs...which they will use/save face. The thugs happy hunting time with the soft white western cash cows may change to 20% of local tuk-tuk buisness man found, investigations are on-going to find the rest of him. Now they start biting that feeds.

Happy Chinese New Year. What a shame that this woman would have to go through this.

Why they took her to the police station ?

Motorbike Taxis are the deputy's of the Pattaya police commander. She could have filed a complaint by the same guy that robbed her.

<deleted>? Can you retype this in proper English?

Unlike the passive farangs, the Chinese will only put up with this for a short period of time. Then will either recommend Thailand as a "dangerous" place to holiday or will take things into their own hands and fix the problem themselves. Wait until you get about a half dozen Chinese tourists rousted by the jet ski mob, tuk-tuk mob or taxi mob, then watch things develop. partytime2.gif
