My point was that because of their age these children are unable to make an informed decision about their actions and they are far more susceptible to being influenced by their peers and their elders who they are associating with,.......

And do you seriously believe that the vast bulk of persons over the age of 15 or 18 or 21 or wherever you care to place the bar are in any way more competent and less likely to be so influenced? I am not convinced.

BPB, I should add that you may have been misled by another poster's references to 15 year olds - the cases and arrests reported were about children "under the age of 15" which is a far more serious offence in Thailand than one with those aged between 15 and 18. According to other similar reports the children were aged between 11 and 13 - do you still think they are able to make informed decisions about what they are doing and the crimes are "victimless"?
