So for people with larger families its pretty cheap (less than 2 million baht) Agree its a butt ugly piece of junk though If anyone fancies buying one theres a Ssangyong dealership on Rama 9 Edited March 3, 200620 yr by moonoi

As for cheap in Australia retail is about 36,000 AU$ or 1,100,000 Baht. The taxes in OZ are not insignificant . Here its less than 2,000,000 !!!

Hmm I can't find the pricing anywhere.......I think I might have read the prices in a review of the Stavic in the BKK Post around the time of the Motor Show last year. I decided to take a look on there website http://www.ssangyong.co.th/Thai/StaOverview.aspx and it seems they specialise in damned ugly looking motors....the rexton isn't too bad but the chairman....<deleted> is that?
March 3, 200620 yr Ugh!!!! My early 80's Toyota looks better than that thing! Kia makes some pretty ugly vehicles....look at their vans. I've always liked the look of the Jeep Cherokee but unfortunately their engines are terrible.
March 3, 200620 yr I just ordered one Your right, it's absolutely ugly It'll be used as a minivan for a hotel, so looks were not that important. In the Thai version there are 11 seats, although the back row is does not give very much legroom, and is a hassle to get to. But if you take out that last row, you can very comfortably seat 7 passengers. I just compared it to the regular Toyota minivans, and the Ssang Yong is much more comfortable, drives much better, is much quiter, much more beautifull inside, you just get the feel of being in a luxury car. I reckon technolgy wise the Stavic is much more advanced then the regular minivans. Mercedes diesel engine and mercedes auto 5 gear box with tiptronic. The price is 1.560.000 Baht with the auto gear. The Toyota van's fitted out with seats, decent stereo, high quality seats etc wil already com withing a few hundred thousand of the Stavic's price... Edited March 3, 200620 yr by monty

March 6, 200620 yr Author Crash, Yes, that is fugly machine alright, little wonder that GM canned it after trying to give it away for the last two years of its life. Beats me how the heck could they get it so wrong.
