Cat Pee

Featured Replies

What's the best way to get rid of the smell of cat pee, any ideas or experience appreciated.

Depends what it is on.

It's not pee it's the male cat spraying stuff to mark territory. Had ours de-sprayed and now no problem. smile.png

unspayed females will mark too btw

Had a neighboring tom come into our house and mark my free standing cooker (with oven). I tried vinegar, I tried bleach, I even tried nail polish remover. Every time I turned the oven on the smell of warm cat pee pervaded my house.

I finally threw the oven out and got a new one.

sure I suppose if you are a heartless callous person without pets or kids of your own and don't care about anyone elses either. But then I am sure that would not be you.

Don't know if its available in Thailand, but at pet supply stores in America can buy a solution that removes the smell. It contains enzymes that neutralize the odor of cat pee. It really works. Try some pet supply places or check the internet.

The product is called 'Natures Miracle'.

Too late already but once I used mothballs to prevent cats coming into the garden to use the sand as a toilet. Might be mothballs are also able to get rid of the smell on a certain term??
