Human-Induced Climate Change Creates Olympic "Heat Dome" Crisis
Who the hell is Mother Jones? Better scrap the games then - it would save thousands of people jetting there and creating all those tons of C emissions. -

Tyres: All Season or Summer
What's all this BS about. None of my tyres have ever broken, and the last lot I got over 80,000 km from them, Maxxiss. Same for whatever the season is, you simply drive according to the road conditions. Now up in Scandi & Switzerland, Winter tyres had metal spikes embedded into them. -

Korean tourist vanishes with free rent and cash in Pattaya
A Pattaya rental room operator was left high and dry by a cunning Korean tourist. A 49 year old owner of a rental room on Soi Chaloem Phra Kiat 11, Pattaya 3 Road, shared his experience yesterday, August 1, to caution other rental operators. Arinthat provided CCTV footage showing the face of the elusive Korean man who swindled him. Arinthat recounted that the Korean tourist, 48 year old Hin Kyung Mo, rented a room on July 17, paying rent until July 21. After that, he stopped paying, claiming his wallet and passport were lost. He said he was waiting for friends to help him in three days, but when they didn’t show up, he claimed he couldn’t contact them. On July 31, the Korean man said he needed to visit the embassy for help with his passport and documents. Arinthat kindly called a taxi for him. However, the Korean man asked to stop at a convenience store for five minutes and then vanished, leaving the taxi waiting for over 30 minutes. This entire episode was caught on CCTV. “I feel hurt because, on July 21, he said he had no money for food, so I lent him 1,000 baht. During the long holiday, he borrowed another 3,000 baht, saying he would contact the embassy but was unsuccessful. Yesterday, he said he ran out of money and needed to go to the embassy again, so I gave him another 2,000 baht before he disappeared.” The landlord mentioned that he had previously helped other tourists, who always repaid him once they contacted their families. This time, however, was different. When he went to file a report at Pattaya City Police Station, the police refused to accept it, stating it didn’t constitute a legal offence as he had allowed the man to stay voluntarily, reported KhaoSod English. “I want to warn other rental operators to be cautious of scammers. We try to be kind to tourists but end up being treated like this.” By Puntid Tantivangphaisal Photo courtesy of KhaoSod English Full story: The Thaiger 2024-08-02 - Cigna offers a variety of health insurance plans designed to meet the minimum requirement for medical treatment coverage, with benefits reaching up to THB 3 million. Upgrade Solar Inverter+ Batteries now or wait
It is highly unlikely that a sodium lithium battery will ever be invented. Sodium and lithium are in close proximity to each other on the periodic table so it would not really make sense to include both elements in a battery. I think what you mean are sodium ion batteries. These are available now but it may take some time for them to appear on Lazada. They are currently being fitted to some new cars. You might like to look at lead carbon batteries. I have these in my storage system they are a fairly recent innovation and quite cheap too. So far mine are doing exceptionally well. I won't go into detail here because all the information is readily available on Google. -

Trump's Controversial Remarks at Black Journalists' Convention Sparks Outrage
For a dude with a sense of humour, it's weird that I have NEVER seen him belly-laugh. Normal people belly-laugh every now and then. Honestly I don't know if I have ever seen him laugh at anything genuinely funny. Usually the weirdo is just chuckling at his own inane cruelties. -

Southport Stabbing: Child Killed and Several Injured in Taylor Swift-Themed Workshop Attack
All protestors have now been warned that "the authorities are watching you" following Starmers latest brainwave to now roll out facial recognition across the entire UK. ( an opportunity he was never going to miss) To protect us all from the far right extremists of course. Currently every other word coming out of the mouths of politicians is "far right" as they continue to push their narrative to the limit. The events that caused all these incidents seem to have been forgotten, but that was always the intention. They can continue to blame who ever they want for as long as they want, but until our spineless politicians accept and deal with the fact that people have had enough, and stop their pathetic attempts to label any one who disagrees with their warped view of reality as "extreme right wing" these problems are going nowhere. He can forge whatever "partnerships" he wants between the various incompetent neighbouring police forces, It might even make their mass tactical withdrawals more entertaining (a bit like a fancy dress relay race) but as long as he keeps insulting the electorate, with holding relevant information from the public in an attempt to micro manage their emotions, and continues to flatly refuse to address peoples concerns whether perceived or genuine we are heading for trouble. A full blown riot can start from nowhere literally in seconds and can last literally for days, as anybody who was around in the 80's will remember, all the CCTV in the world wont make any difference. It may well be Far right thugs that start it but that will be little consolation if ones house is burned down
