Exstension Double Entry Question

Featured Replies

Hello guys, (and girls).
I have a double entry visa, which my last entry 2 months is about to finit number 23 of februari.
My question is if imigration office in Bangkok is open on saturday ?

Or, if i go to imigration office on monday, will i get overstay if imigration office is closed on sunday ?

Can i also get problem with extending my visa if to late ?

Best regards /// Chris.

Immigration will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.

You should be Ok on Monday but Friday would be preferable.

You could have applied earlier this week.

Monday it is closed as it is a holiday

So it is.

You might still be Ok on Tuesday . Go for it.

Thanks for the answers.
But it is Friday today? So i think i have to go on tuesday so i really hope it will be ok.

Best regards // Chris.

Usually if you go the first day after a holiday they will issue the extension.

Always best to go a few days early though rather than cutting it so fine.

Go early and take a good book. Mondays are usually crowded after the weekend, but Tuesday will most likely be a zoo after three days off.

I have a related question, please. I also need to have my two month tourist visa extended. It expires on 10 March and so am I right in assuming I just go to Chaeng Wattana and ask for an extension. Are there any issues I should bear in mind. I have had no experience of this before and so any info will be very welcome. Many thanks!

Go a few days early and take 2 passport size photos and the 1,900 Baht fee.

Fill in the TM7 application form.

It is routine and straight forward.

You should also have copies of passport date/visa/entry and departure card I believe. Only one photo should will be required in Bangkok, size 4x6cm (but anything close normally accepted).

Thanks very much for this very helpful advice.
