A few views but no answers so I'll expand on it a bit. Few years ago I got a bike wheel 're-chromed' using a bike shop that was run by an ex-pat, it was on Suhk' road not far from the road that Foodland is on, on the left going up the hill. The wheel looked fantastic when I got it back but the chrome fell off within 2 months. Found out later that it's a spray process, you can google it and see what I mean.

That bike shop and the ex-pat are no longer there but I want to find out if the shop the he/they used still exists in Pattaya.

I can't buy new reflectors as it's an old car being re-done and the spray process is a lot better than trying to chrome plate, the real way. If you look at all the new 150cc bikes the chrome is not as you would imagine , it's put on almost like a paint. Fine for the inside of a headlamp that never gets affected by the weather.

Help.

If it's an old car the shell will be metal hence re-chromable. If it's a new car or bike the shell is plastic so you have to use spray chrome.

It's mid 70's so not a metal shell. I could spend 10 squariling baht buying originals but I won't. That's why I need the advice mate biggrin.png

You can buy chrome paint in a rattle can and do it yourself? Light output may suffer if it is a daily driver or not matter if it isn't.

That's worth trying as a first go. At least I won't have lost much on it.
