March 6, 200620 yr Hi, My friend has just moved to Koh Samui and she thinks she needs a motorcycle. Can anybody give me an idea of the cost for a Automatic ( twist and go ) motorcycle with electric start ? I was thinking of a Yahama Mio or the new Honda Click. She has mentioned a "Yahama Step" but I can not find it on the internet ??? Can you suggest any other contenders? She is small 145cm so I think the Nouvo might be a bit big. I've searched for ages but i'm finding it hard to find prices and dealers in Koh Samui. Any help is most appreciated ! Thanks Scott

Thanks Scott There's not much choice in the twist and go market, the Mio is probably her best bet. The Click is new so untested but as it's a Honda it should be ok, Suzuki do a twist and go too. I don't think they sell the Yamaha Step in Thailand...though I could be wrong. If there is a JRD dealer on Samui steer well clear of them.....rubbish on wheels. Not sure on prices, Mio about 45,000bt I think.
March 7, 200620 yr Mio starts at 41900 Baht, Nouvo at 52800 Baht Mio is preferred over the Nouvo for women as it is smaller and lighter. Both have proven technology. The Honda click is new technology, and I expect it to be a bot more expensive as well (it's watercooled as well)
March 7, 200620 yr Author Thanks everyone. I've just been told that she likes the new Suzuki Step 125 http://www.thaisuzuki.co.th/en/product_step125.asp Has anyone heard good / bad reports ? Cost ? Thanks
March 8, 200620 yr Author No offence taken. She feels happier to ride a twist and go, so thats why i'm looking for one. I'd rather have her feel safe and in control.
March 8, 200620 yr I prefer twist and goes too, so easy and great in the Bangkok traffic, less work to do!
