Extending A 60 Day Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Hi,

I arrived in Thailand on 4th February on a 60 day tourist visa and plan to stay until early May.

Was just wondering when I can look at applying for the 30 day extension I need - can this be done at anytime or do I need to wait until a certain time prior to the current expiry date?

Any help much appreciated.

Normally they would like it to be a week or two before expiration of 60 days - it starts at end of stay so nothing lost in doing a bit early.

I am in the same situation for the first time.

So go to the immigration a couple of weeks before the 60 day visa expires. Can do, no problem.

What is the address in Bangkok and what do I need to take? Fees?

Phuket immigration doesn't care when you do the extension. You can do it whenever you want within the 60 day period.

There is no ruling for this.

Passport + copy, arrival card plus copy, passphoto. Fill in the form and pay 1,900 baht.

I do not have an arrival card. Do you get them at the immigration? I got a departure card, arrival stamp in passport and 60 day tourist visa in passport.

And what is the name of the form?

The departure card is the other half of the arrival card, use that.
