nikster Posted March 7, 2013 Share Posted March 7, 2013 This is new - probably the same as the Kasikorn Bank scam though. You get an SMS on your Android phone, prompting you to download an app - looks like the official bank app. Except it will skim your username, and password, and also intercept incoming OTP SMS to make automatic transactions from your account! So this gets around the security built into the bank apps, which are based on SMS. iPhones are safe because of its security model - apps can't intercept SMS. I am thinking this problem must be pretty serious if SCB is sending an email to all customers! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
