demonietto
Just bought a new Defender from the very nice and helpful guy at helmet to home, off the SE corner of the moat in Chiang Mai. He helped me with various models, talked about the best features for my price point, and also threw in a balaklava and a bungee cord! I could never fit the buckets that came with rentals and I prize my noggin, so I decided to make an investment as I'll be here a while. Having never ridden before coming to Thailand I don't have anything to compare it to, but everything seems to be well made. The matte black finish is slick and the visors flip nicely. I can review something else if you ask. I do have a question regarding the chin strap. It's a quick release buckle which I am very familiar with, but there is also one D-ring just above the release tab, sewn into the strap. What is this for? I know how a double d-ring strap works but this doesn't make sense.

RED21
Yup, that D-ring is for the helmet lock. Was very happy when I found out it had one... BTW, mine's matte black too.
