Buisness Visa.

Featured Replies

i have found a website for .......VISA SOLUTIONS.

They say they can provide the paperwork for a non immigrant business visa.

I was thinking of paying them the 7500bht they want and getting the visa in Ireland when I go back in June.

Does anybody have any experience with them or can anybody see any problems with my idea,

Doing the maths it works out at 7500bht plus 145 euros for the consulate in Ireland, that's 14000bht for

15 months.

Sounds good to me

And then they will request periodic installments to meet your tax commitments because you are EMPLOYED by their bogus company...

Did you add those amounts into your calculation?

Nope, but I thought there might be a snag.

How much are these installments

"And then they will request periodic installments to meet your tax commitments because you are EMPLOYED by their bogus company..."

Do you know that for a fact, or are you guessing?

I would ask them for a detailed statment outlining exactly what the costs are over the life of the visa.

Also read that website............ is it any better then all the other Companies there are many do a search, some are 4,900 baht and say the same, some give you more details

As for 'because you are EMPLOYED by their bogus company...' No idea with that Company...... but on reading some other websites that say near the same for the 'B' Visa, it appears this B Visa is NOT for work, but for looking for work or a Business in Thailand

The benefits of Thailand Non-immigrant Business Visa are:

- Unlimited entries to Thailand

- A full 90 days on each entry
- May apply for a Thailand Work Permit with a Thai company
- Ability to explore business opportunities and/or investments
- Can open a Thai Bank account

This,if it's not a hoax,is seriously convenient.

I remember reading that you don't need much of a reason to get a Non immigrant visa for business.

If somebody respectable like an real estate agent or a lawyer says that your thinking of investing in property that's enough.

At 4900 plus the visa fee in Ireland, that's 1000bht for 15 months.

I've only stumbled on this yesterday and am now trying to find out if it's too good to be true.

It's certainly worth investigating.

If I remember correctly they need to write a letter confirming you are looking for business opportunities, this itself is where a problem is, as strictly speaking you are getting a visa under false pretenses.

Also it is multi entry so add the costs of your border runs to the total price, and a bank could ask to see a work permit and since you will not have one they might refuse to open a bank account for you, although you could keep asking at different banks and get different answers.

Also you have named the company on this website, great but be aware that "Big brother" is watching.

O.K maybe it wasn't that savvy naming the company.

I already have a bank account and I live near a border crossing.

But what's the snag

The snag is if the information is not accurate on paperwork under your name the possibility of jail time. Fraudulent paperwork is a serious crime in Thailand so be sure anything you submit is true and accurate and never allows others to do so under your name. If you qualify for a visa you can easily do it yourself so if this is only to make it easier it should be fine. But if there is any doubt about your qualifications for such a visa it could become a serious issue and saying somebody said it was fine and dandy is not going to help much.

Appears that the Company is ThaiVisa Sponsored ??

rolleyes.gif Be very careful and find out exactly what it will cost.

I'm suspicious that they are simply "putting fancy dress on a pig" by providing you with a phoney letter saying you are interested in looking for investment opportunities in Thailand ... whether that's true or not.

Then you are essentially getting the same visa you could get from the Thai consulate in Ireland for that same 145 Euro price anyhow ... except you paid extra for a phoney letter.

Not exactly illegal .... but stretching legality to the limit.

Now just suppose, that after you pay the money to these people and they provide you a letter, you go to Ireland an apply for that B visa ..... and you are refused.

Let's just say that the Thai consulate in Ireland simply asks for futher documentation of your desire pursue those "investment opportunities" in Thailand .... by showing you have the financial ability to show you can cover those promises you're claiming.

They want you to show some money in the bank, in other words.

Can you handle that if they ask you?

All you are really looking for is a Non immigrant O multi entry visa to stay a year in Thailand.

You might be able to get that without going through all the other stuff.

That's why I say .... be careful you're just not paying for a "pig dressed up in a fancy dress suit" and be very sure exactly what they will charge you for the "service" of the visa .... you are doing most of the actual work of getting the visa anyhow.

This is the second big company on TV that is advertising these so called assisted visas, wonder what would happen if these companies were scrutinized more by Immigration, how would TV react.

Yes that's why I made the blunder of mentioning the name of the company.

They are already connected with TV.

Another thing that crossed my mind is using the consulate in Hull,England when I'm in Ireland.

Also have you noticed that the wording on the cheaper website is exactly the same as the wording on the 7500bht website.

It's as if the second website just copied the first and knocked the price down.

Unless it is one of the companies that has adverts on the right hand side of this page they are probably not a Thai Visa sponsor.

If it is one of the Google ads that pop up it is not. TV has no control over them.

Check the right hand side of this topic, am sure this is the one the OP means, between the Savan Vegas and Sunbelt advertisments

The snag is you are applying under false pretenses. Plenty of 'companies' do it.

It can't be guarenteed you getting a visa at all or whether you get a 1 year or just three months.

It should be in the same province or near to where as you live. If you have to do 90 day reports I guess you will have to do reports in the province the company is.

If the company gets shut down will you even know ? As your visa will be invalid then and you will be on overstay.

If you have to pay tax you will be looking at seven thousand something a month plus the Social payments for Thais that need to be employed for every farang. takes it upto nearly 10k per month. Not sure on that though as you are an investor.

What the are offering is a multiple entry non-b visa which only gives 90 entries not a 1 year extension of stay which is what you are referring to.

Although a person might make a long trip only to find out that the embassy or consulate they go to will only give them a single entry visa.

This was the thing that got me going in the first place,

They have a lovely TV logo on their website,

So I thought that if they were in with those super savvy expats in TV.

They must be O.K.

I am genuinely looking at property in Thailand because I want too go into

the property rental business.

I just haven't inherited the money yet.

I see that it takes 3 to 4 weeks to process an application in Dublin.

In Hull,England they do it overnight.

I'm seriously thinking of bringing one of these letters or a marriage certificate back with me

and applying ffor a Non emigrant visa in Hull.

Not just because I will be home for to short a time to apply in Dublin but because of Hulls reputation for

"efficiency"

If you are married to a Thai a non-o would certainly be the best option and then an extension of stay based upon marriage.

You can get a work permit with a non-o based upon marriage or extension of stay.
