Can Expats In Thailand Buy Firearms?

Featured Replies

Can Expats in Thailand buy Firearms and if they can what are the requirements (residency, visa, ect.). I like to target practice and maybe for self defense. Thanks!

Why don't you get a catapult? (Slingshot if you are American!)

Wristrockets (slingshots with wrist braces) are more common now I think. Besides some sporting goods stores downtown, you can find them at some malls in the camping/knife sections. Marksman is a popular brand and I think that's what these wristrockets are. Trumark is a good make as well (a bit better than Marksman IMO). In the States, they cost about $10 (400 baht) but they might be more here. Fun for backyard target practice but not very potent for self defense.
